Danau Toba Sumatera Utara | Cerita Rakyat

Pada jaman dahulu, hiduplah seorang pemuda tani yatim piatu di bagian utara pulau Sumatra. Daerah tersebut sangatlah kering. Pemuda ini hidup dari bertani dan mendurung ikan, hingga pada suatu hari ia mendurung, sudah setengah hari ia melakukan pekerjaan itu namun tak satu pun ikan didapat.

Maka ia pun bergegas pulang karena hari mulai larut malam, namun ketika hendak pulang ia melihat seekor Ikan yang besar dan indah, warnanya kuning emas. Ia menangkap dan segera membawa pulang ikan tersebut. Sesampainya di rumah karena sangat lapar maka ia hendak memasak Ikan itu tetapi karena ikan itu sangat indah, ia pun mengurungkan niatnya, ia lebih memilih untuk memeliharanya, lalu ia menaruhnya di sebuah wadah yang besar dan memberi ikan tsb makan. Keesokan harinya seperti biasa ia pergi bertani ke ladang, dan hingga tengah hari Ia pulang ke rumah, dengan tujuan hendak makan siang, tetapi alangkah terkejutnya, ketika melihat di dalam rumah nya telah tersedia masakan yang siap untuk dimakan, ia terheran heran, ia pun teringat pada ikannya karena takut dicuri orang, dengan bergegas ia lari ke belakang. Ternyata ikan tersebut masih berada di tempatnya, lama ia berpikir siapa yang melakukan semua itu, tetapi karena perutnya sudah lapar, akhirnya ia menyantap dengan lahapnya masakan tersebut.

Kejadian ini pun terus berulang, hingga pemuda tersebut mempunyai siasat untuk mengintip siapa yang melakukan semua itu. Keesokan harinya ia mulai menjalankan siasatnya, ia bersembunyi diantara pepohonan dekat rumah. Lama ia menunggu, namun asap di dapur rumah belum juga terlihat, dan ia pun berniat untuk pulang karena telah lama menunggu, namun begitu ia akan keluar dari persembunyiannya, ia mulai melihat asap di dapur rumah, dengan perlahan lahan ia berjalan menuju ke belakang rumah untuk melihat siapa yang melakukan semua itu.

Alangkah terkejutnya ketika ia melihat siapa yang melakukan semua itu, ia melihat seorang Wanita yang sangat cantik dan ayu berambut panjang , dengan perlahan ia memasuki rumahnya, dan menangkap wanita tersebut. Lalu Ia berkata,

“hai .. wanita, siap kah engkau, dan dari mana asalmu?”

Wanita itu tertunduk diam, dan mulai meneteskan air mata, lalu pemuda itu pun melihat ikannya tak lagi berada di dalam wadah. Ia pun bertanya pada wanita itu,

“Hai Wanita kemanakah ikan yang ada di dalam wadah ini?”

Wanita itu pun semakin menangis tersedu sedu, namun pemuda terus memaksa dan akhirnya wanita itu pun berkata

“Aku adalah ikan yang kau tangkap kemarin” .

Pemuda itu terkejut, namun karena si pemuda merasa telah menyakiti hati wanita itu, maka pemuda tsb berkata,

“Hai Wanita maukah engkau menjadi Istri ku..??”,

Wanita tsb terkejut, dia hanya diam & tertunduk, lalu pemuda tsb berkata

“Mengapakah engkau diam ..!!” .

Lalu wanita tsb pun berkata, 'Aku mau menjadi istri mu .. tetapi dengan satu syarat'

'Apakah syarat itu?' balas pemuda itu dengan cepat 

Wanita itu berkata,

'Kelak jika anak kita lahir dan tumbuh, janganlah pernah engkau katakan bahwa dirinya adalah anakni Dekke (anaknya ikan)'.

Pemuda itu pun menyetujui persyaratan tsb dan bersumpah tidak akan mengatakannya, dan menikahlah mereka.

Hingga mereka mempunyai anak yang berusia 6 tahun, anak itu sangatlah nakal (jugul) dan tak pernah mendengar jika dinasehati. Lalu suatu hari sang ibu menyuruh anaknya untuk mengantar nasi ke ladang ke tempat ayahnya bekerja, anak itu pun pergi mengantar nasi kepada ayahnya, namun di tengah perjalanan ia merasa lapar, ia pun membuka makanan yang dibungkus untuk ayahnya, dan memakan makanan itu. Setelah selesai memakannya, kemudian ia membungkusnya kembali dan melanjutkan perjalanan ke tempat sang ayah. Sesampai di tempat sang ayah, ia memberikan bungkusan tersebut, dengan sangat senang sang ayah menerimanya, lalu ayahnya pun duduk dan segera membuka bungkusan nasi yang dititipkan istrinya kepada anaknya, alangkah terkejutnya sang ayah melihat isi bungkusan tersebut. Yang ada hanya tinggal tulang ikan saja, sang ayah pun bertanya kepada anaknya

'Hai Anakku., mengapa isi bungkusan ini hanya tulang ikan saja', anaknya nya pun menjawab, 'Di perjalanan tadi perutku terasa lapar jadi aku memakannya', sang ayah pun emosi, dengan kuat ia menampar pipi anaknya sambil berkata

'Botul maho anakni dekke (betul lah engkau anaknya ikan)',

Sang anak pun menangis dan berlari pulang ke rumah,sesampainya di rumah anaknya pun menanyakan apa yang dikatakan ayahnya

'Mak .. olo do na didokkon Amangi, botul do Au anakni dekke (Mak .benarnya yang dikatakan Ayah itu, benarnya Aku ini anaknya ikan)' mendengar perkataan anaknya itu sang ibu terkejut, sambil meneteskan air mata dan berkata di dalam hati.

'Suamiku telah melanggar sumpahnya, dan sekarang aku harus kembali ke alamku',

Jadi jika dibandingkan dengan masa sekarang, seandainya upah kerja satu hari adalah Rp. 50.000.- maka Anda akan menerima 6000 X Rp. 50.000,- = Rp. 300.000.000.-

Modal kerja tiga ratus juta rupiah, tentu bukan jumlah yang sedikit bukan? Anda bisa berbuat banyak hal dengan uang sejumlah tersebut.

Dalam ilustrasi tersebut permasalahannya bukanlah pada jumlah yang diterimanya, namun pada sikap hatinya (Matius 25:24-25). Sikap hatinya yang salah adalah:

1. Dia menganggap tuannya sebagai manusia yang kejam yang mengambil keuntungan dari orang lain.
2. Dia dikuasai oleh ketakutannya.
3. Dia mengubur talentanya, tanpa mencoba dulu untuk mengusahakannya.

Tuhan bukanlah tuan yang jahat. Dia memberikan setiap orang kepercayaan, masing-masing menurut kesanggupannya (ayat 15).  Jika kita memiliki sikap hati yang benar dengan tidak mencurigai Tuhan, tapi setia dengan talenta yang telah ia berikan maka kita akan menerima berkat pelipat gandaan seperti para hamba yang setia itu. 

Hal ini telah dibuktikan oleh Carver, hanya dengan kacang tanah ia bisa menemukan 300 produk yang dapat memberkati banyak orang. Temukan talenta yang telah Tuhan percayakan dalam hidup Anda, setialah dengan satu hal tersebut maka Tuhan akan melipatgandakannya untuk bisa menjadi berkat bukan hanya untuk Anda namun juga bagi banyak orang.
